Living As Strangers

1 Peter 2:11-25
Believers honor God through their submission to Him and good works as priests

Summary/Application:
1. I was born again as a new person when I accepted Christ as my savior!
2. God exchanged His eternal wrath for my sins for “the righteousness of God in Him.
3. I am a priest of God who “offers up spiritual sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ.
4. Follow the example of Christ; ” WHO COMMITTED NO SIN“, but suffered without compliant on the cross. Instead “…Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do….”” [Luke 23:34]
5. Memorize 1 Peter 2: 12 Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.
6. Pray for our county and the upcoming election claiming the promise for “My people” in:
2 Chronicles 7: 14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
[seek My face– this means for My people to seek the presence of God currently in the life of every believer.]
7. Every believer in Jesus Christ needs to be aware of the Humanist Doctrine which is in opposition to the revelation of God in the Bible. Click here: https://thehlukejourney.wordpress.com/2016/09/26/humanist-manifesto-i-ii-iii-245/

Humanist Manifesto I, II, & III # 245

Humanist Manifesto is the title of three manifestos laying out a Humanist, naturalistic, evolution-based, socialism, anti-God, globalism, and no restraint on sexuality worldview. They are the original Humanist Manifesto 1933, the Humanist Manifesto II (1973), and Humanism and Its Aspirations (2003, a.k.a. Humanist Manifesto III).

This is the world view that predominates in the world today. You may like to compare this Humanist worldview with the two major party platforms as you prepare to vote in the 2016 election.

Socialism in #1: FOURTEENTH: The humanists are firmly convinced that existing acquisitive and profit-motivated society has shown itself to be inadequate and that a radical change in methods, controls, and motives must be instituted. A socialized and cooperative economic order must be established to the end that the equitable distribution of the means of life be possible. The goal of humanism is a free and universal society in which people voluntarily and intelligently cooperate for the common good. Humanists demand a shared life in a shared world.

Anti-God doctrine in #2: “Traditional moral codes and newer irrational cults both fail to meet the pressing needs of today and tomorrow. False “theologies of hope” and messianic ideologies, substituting new dogmas for old, cannot cope with existing world realities. They separate rather than unite peoples.

Promises of immortal salvation or fear of eternal damnation are both illusory and harmful. They distract humans from present concerns, from self-actualization, and from rectifying social injustices. Modern science discredits such historic concepts as the “ghost in the machine” and the “separable soul.” Rather, science affirms that the human species is an emergence from natural evolutionary forces. As far as we know, the total personality is a function of the biological organism transacting in a social and cultural context. There is no credible evidence that life survives the death of the body. We continue to exist in our progeny and in the way that our lives have influenced others in our culture.”

No Restraints on Sexual Expression in #2: SIXTH: In the area of sexuality, we believe that intolerant attitudes, often cultivated by orthodox religions and puritanical cultures, unduly repress sexual conduct. While we do not approve of exploitive, denigrating forms of sexual expression, neither do we wish to prohibit, by law or social sanction, sexual behavior between consenting adults. The many varieties of sexual exploration should not in themselves be considered “evil.”

Global  Community in #2: TWELFTH: We deplore the division of humankind on nationalistic grounds. We have reached a turning point in human history where the best option is to transcend the limits of national sovereignty and to move toward the building of a world community in which all sectors of the human family can participate. Thus we look to the development of a system of world law and a world order based upon the transnational federal government.

Every believer in Jesus Christ needs to be aware of the Humanist Doctrine which in my opinion is in opposition to the revelation of God in the Bible and the constitution of the United States of America. For more detail consider at least the first two Manifestoes below:

The Words of the Lord are Pure #244

by Henry M. Morris, Ph.D.
Evidence for Creation

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” (Psalm 12:6-7)

The preservation of the divinely given words of Scripture is incomparably superior to that of all other ancient writings. God has not allowed any of His words to “pass away,” for Jesus said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35). They are, in fact, “for ever . . . settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).

Although the original “autographs” of Moses, Paul, and the other human writers have long vanished (perhaps they have even been translated to heaven with the Ark of the Covenant—(note Revelation 11:19), God saw to it that dedicated Hebrew scribes and Christian scholars meticulously copied the writings through the centuries so that we still have God’s Word to guide us today. Although there are variant readings in different manuscripts, the original words are there somewhere. Very few real questions remain about any of these, so we have the original Greek and Hebrew words to a high degree of accuracy.

The fires of anti-Christian persecution, caviling humanistic philosophies, literary criticism, scientific skepticism, pagan pantheism, cultic distortions, and apathetic indifference have sought to destroy God’s Word, but all have failed. It is the bestseller of all time, translated into more languages than any other writings.

No matter what forces are directed against it, it always emerges brighter and surer than ever! Even this present generation will fail in all modern attempts to defeat the Holy Scriptures, for God will “preserve them from this generation for ever.” HMM

I gave, I gave my life for thee                                                                                                           What hast thou given for me?                                                                                                          I gave, I gave my life for thee                                                                                                         What hast thou given for me?

My father’s house of light                                                                                                                  My glory circled throne                                                                                                                     I left for earthly night                                                                                                                          For wand’rings sad and lone.

I left, I left it all for thee,                                                                                                                    Hast thou left aught for me?                                                                                                            I left, I left it all for thee,                                                                                                                Hast thou left aught for me?

I suffered much for thee,                                                                                                                 More than thy tongue can tell                                                                                                           Of bitterest agony                                                                                                                                To rescue thee from hell.

I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee                                                                                           What hast thou borne for me?                                                                                                        I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee                                                                                            What hast thou borne for me?

And I have brought to thee                                                                                                         Down from My home above                                                                                                               Salvation full and free                                                                                                                       My pardon and my love.

I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee,                                                                                                     What hast thou brought to me?                                                                                                       I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee,                                                                                               What hast thou brought to me?”

International Space Station Commander Returns from Space

Expedition 48 Commander Jeff Williams arrived in the United States just 24 hours after landing Tuesday evening 9/6/2016 in Kazakhstan and completing his mission. Williams has completed one shuttle mission and his third station mission accumulating 534 days in space – a NASA astronaut record.

Report on his mission below from ICR below.

Col. Jeff Williams took his Bible with him to space. He posted this on Facebook, May 22: “Sunday thought…60 days into the stay at this orbital outpost. The weeks are flying by and they have been incredibly productive. Three of our crewmates have less than four weeks until returning to Earth…three of us have more than 100 days to go. On this Sunday, I spent some time in Psalm 90. Two petitions stand out; ‘Let Your work be shown’ and ‘establish the work of our hands.’ And He does.”

Progressively Regressive Sexuality

“Sexual progressives claim to be ushering in a “brave new world” of freedom. But their “new” morality is as old as the hills. Christ and His Church radically transformed a far more sexually cruel and chaotic world than ours.” From Colson Center; Breakpoint.

From Franklin Graham: The Most Important Election of Our Lifetime #239

From Franklin Graham

In just 10 weeks, our nation will select a man or woman who will become the 45th president of the United States of America. Whomever we elect will take the helm of a nation that has grown increasingly hostile and intolerant of the very foundation and principles upon which it was so nobly founded—the Christian faith and Biblical values.

That’s why I believe this election is the most significant since Abraham Lincoln was chosen to guide a divided country through a bloody and protracted civil war.

For if the forces of evil that are allied against the free exercise of our faith succeed—and they have done severe damage already—then I have no doubt that the nation we love will devolve into moral anarchy more quickly than we can imagine.

The basics of the Gospel begin on the Genesis Road

People must first understand that God created them and that they are therefore responsible to Him. Next they have to understand that they have broken God’s law and are under His condemnation and judgment. Then they can understand that the Creator died to save them. This all begins with Adam in Genesis.

1. God created mankind in Adam. (Genesis 1:26-28)
2. Adam sinned and deserves death. (Genesis 2:16-17; 3:2-7)
3. The Creator died to save mankind from the death penalty for sin. (Genesis 3:15)

America Needs the Genesis Road

Paul Used the Genesis Road
