Do you have Anxiety?

H- X Psalm 38:18 For I confess my iniquity; I am full of anxiety because of my sin.

E- I am very concerned about some people [including me] who are filled with anxiety. I have been praying that the anxiety will be removed. I studied the verses in the Bible mentioning anxiety and selected these verses for prayer promises. It begins with admitting anxiety is a sin to be confessed and repented.

Psalms 94:19 When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your consolations delight my soul.

Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts;

Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good word makes it glad.

Isaiah 35:4 Say to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.”

Jeremiah 17:8 For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.

Philippians 4:6-7…Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:6-7…Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

We are told to take everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving and a great peace will guard our hearts and minds in Jesus. We can do this when we humble ourself under God and because God cares for His children.

A- I need to take my anxiety before the throne of God through Jesus my High Priest.

R- Father help me through Your great power to be thankful in everything that I may be anxious about and trust You to protect, comfort and give me peace. I acknowledge this may not fix the problem I am anxious about soon or even for a long time but I can have the peace of God one day at a time.
