Accomplish infinitely more!

H- [X] Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  NLT

E- This verse is a prayer promise that we usually don’t take literally because humans have finite minds. We usually think for ourselves without God without His wisdom and infinite input. You may say I don’t believe that last sentence. Lets ask ourselves a question? When faced with problems small, large, or very very large have we ever ask for Gods help using the promise above.

I didn’t think so. First God deserves the glory because it His ability and mighty work that comes into play not our finite power and work. We tend to leave God out! But His promise is to “accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think”. How do I pray that way for example; about the current war where Russia has attacked Ukraine, the decline of the Church in the US, someone to share Jesus with today, anything you have concerns about?

I will suggest only a few things to begin: [1] Start with realizing my own sin and asking God to forgive me and establish an intimate relationship with God through Jesus and led by the Holy Spirit. [A] [2] Ask God to reveal His presence to me through the Holy Spirit. [3] Pray with great and persistent perseverance until stopped by the Holy Spirit.

A- I would ask you to join in prayer for your concerns through the infinite power of God. Let me know of your thoughts!

R-  O God help me pray with boldness, perseverance, and guided by the Holy Spirit.

Infinitely more!

Surrender the Future

H- [X]  Ephesians 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  NLT

E- God is able and Disciples  [Y]  are not! Let’s look at each part of this scripture verse:

“Now all glory to God”- Everything we do should result in glory to God. My life vision since 1986 includes: By the grace of God “do all to the glory of God.” [1 Corinthians 10:31]  This “all” means everything in the workplace, church, home, hospital, rehab, gym, school, bedroom, for pleasure, while eating, driving, trials, trouble, success, failure, loss, victory, etc.

“Who is able, through His mighty power” We serve the sovereign all-powerful God, Creator, and Sustainer of the universe. “Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power…! Nothing is too difficult for You,” [Jeremiah 32:17]

“at work within us”- God is at work within all His children. He is present in our lives and wherever we go He goes with us. His power is available to us. Lane said “God calls us to a life of constant change, constant work, constant growth, and constant confession and forgiveness. Making us holy is God’s unwavering agenda until we are taken home to be with Him in heaven. He will do whatever He needs to produce holiness in us. God is not working for our comfort and ease; He is working on our growth.” [B]

“to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” this may be one of the most stunning promises in the Bible. The power of God, like the love of God, is beyond human understanding or measurement. He wants us to ask and think large!

Have I limited God by my lack of faith in His love, grace,

Omnipotence– all-powerful universe-wide,

Omnipresence– present everywhere at the same time,

Omniscience– infinite knowledge in virtual reality; past, present, and future

Omnisapient- God is all-wise and always knows what is best?

What a promise from God through Paul who suffered much for Jesus, but accomplished much in His name!

A- [X]  This is beyond my ability but not the power of God working in me?

R- O God thank You for giving me the glory of Jesus and Your power living within me. Help me to call on You instead of depending on myself.
