Creation and Renewal!!

We are familiar with Genesis 1-2 as the story of the creation of the universe and everything in it by God. But the creation by God and Jesus is included in at least 16 books in the Old Testament and 14 books in the New Testament. [To see 55 selected verses in 30 books of the Bible see footnote Z]

God’s creation, sustaining, and renewal of the the heavens and earth are a central focus of the Bible. The creation was perfect with Adam and Eve living in the perfect Garden of Eden. The earth lost its perfection as a result of the sin of Adam  and Eve. God said “And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you* and the woman, And between your* seed (offspring) and her Seed**; He** shall [fatally] bruise your* head, And you* shall [only] bruise His** heel.”  [Genesis 3:15 AMP  *satan[U] and **Jesus] Jesus came to earth the 1st time and satan bruised His heel. Then Jesus will come back to earth in great victory and bruise satans head [Revelations 19:11-21]. Jesus will send satan, the beast, false prophet, and those who rejected Jesus on earth to the lake of fire to be tormented forever and ever [Revelations 20:10-15, 21:8].

But those who believed in Jesus by grace through faith  [A] on earth will be in a new heaven and a new earth that has been recreated with a tree of life like the Garden of Eden forever.  “21:And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” [Revelations 21:1-8, 22:2-3]
