Worship God the Creator! # 164

[If the picture does not appear below, for a brilliantly colored picture of God’s throne and the Saint’s thrones click here Revelation 4 Picture]

In Revelation 4 John saw a vision of God on the throne surrounded by 24 elders sitting on thrones worshipping Him. J. Dwight Pentecost gives 7 reasons that suggest “the 24 elders represent the church age saints resurrected and translated into the heavenlies.”

Their is no picture that could capture what John saw but the one above is the best I could find. The picture shows the majestic God in blinding color with the 4 living creatures, surrounded by the church age saints with their crowns. The saints are sitting on thrones singing before casting their crowns before the throne of God.

The picture helps me think about the glory and honor and power of God. God created everything and is worthy of my worship here on earth and someday in heaven.

Revelation 4:
8c “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.”

9 And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.”
