Be Thankful Scriptures # 79

Some of my favorite scriptures about being thankful. In the Habakkuk passage the word thankful is not used, but certainly implied. Growing up on a farm in Mississippi I learned that without rain the food and crops did not grow. Therefore we were thankful to God for rain among His many blessings. Henry Luke November 24, 2014

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree should not blossom
And there be no fruit on the vines,
Though the yield of the olive should fail
And the fields produce no food,
Though the flock should be cut off from the fold
And there be no cattle in the stalls,
18 Yet I will exult in the LORD,
I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord GOD is my strength

Psalms 100: 2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

Psalms 100: 4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good;

Psalms 105:1 Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples.

Psalms 106:1 Praise the LORD!
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
For His loving kindness is everlasting.

Psalms 107:1 Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, For His loving kindness is everlasting.

Psalms 118: 1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His loving kindness is everlasting. 6 The LORD is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

2 Corinthians 9: 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

Ephesians 5: 18b be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; 20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

Colossians 3: 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

1 Thessalonians 5: 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
