Discipleship Training #15 Surrender vs Commitment

Dr Mac Brunson used these 2 terms in a sermon in September 2013 . Simply stated in my words: Surrender to God means a person has given total control of his life to the Lord Jesus Christ resulting in being Christ-centered and Commitment to God means a person still maintains control of setting the priority of individual commitments and is Self-centered.

Below is Dr Adrian Rodgers short UTube link that Dr Brunson quoted from and 2 other links about the subject. At the FBC One2Won Men’s Rally on September 21, 2013 this distinction was used by more than 3 of the 10 men giving testimonies. I have heard several of our members discussing the comparison. The impact of Dr Brunson’s comparison has been remarkable.
